| well, there are so many rumours about that... I read an interwiev with GAD and according to that she said he's plannig a comeback, but unfortunately, she said it wasn't true, she had never said that, when I asked her on FB... And then in a quite recent interview with iman, david just said that he's lucky now and has no plans of touring again... :/ So I guess we can maybe hope for a new album, but I'm afraid he won't tour again... but ofcourse, that doesn't mean he can't do some few shows and TV-apperances (a) I still hope anyway | |

| I'm glad he is happy and glad he has already made music for young people to hear. However I hope he does some shows and/or does a new album. But most importantly is his happiness | |

| It'll be sad if he doesn't go back on tour, because us younger ones won't have a chance to see him live, but if he's happy, he's happy, and that's what's most important | |

Interesting perspective. In reality you're right. Bowie is past his best performing live shows- which is to be expected seeing as he is nearly old enough to get a bus pass. The energy just would not be at the level i would want to see him at, which would be a real shame but I don't think anyone past the 80s saw Bowie at his performing peak. So I take consolation that not only did I miss the boat, I missed it by nearly two decades. BUT I would do anything to see the master at work. Just so I can go on record and say I have seen DB live would mean a lot to me. He needs a farewell tour. How can he just end it like that without a goodbye (even Ziggy got one of those.) He must have some sort of farewell tour planned, he doesn't need the money but I think there is something sentimental about him doing one last tour in front of a generation of fans that have never had the chance to see him. I would always feel a little hollow if I failed to see him live. Just by turning up and watching I feel like I have shown my support and it's the little things in life...

| Probably not on the first two and definitelly not on the last question. There has been the occasional suggestion that he might return, but nothing seems to have materialized. | |

| First I want to say "Hello" to everyone out there!
@playlife: I can't agree. Every period of David and every decade has had it's highlights and has had it's peaks. I saw him in the 80ties, in the 90ties and also in this decade and even with TM there where good and totally enthusiastic shows and times.
For me personal the Highlights where the Outside Tour and the Reality Show in 2003.
But you defenitely can't say that the only real and most performing peaks where in the 70ies. That's just not true! Bowie is like a great wine: with the years he's always become better. And for him personally he's become the opposite to an iceman which he's been in the 70ies, especially during the TWD-period. Ever since he's married Iman, since he's become the chance to be a REAL father that has time for his child, that is there and that keeps the responsibility for his child he's also become so much more warm and gentle, so much more open-hearted and open-minded and this also has lead him to another peak into his career and to another peak of humanity. His shows have changed a lot thru' that. A show like the one that he had performed in N.Y. after 11/9 would have never ever happened during the 70ies - but it is defintely a PEAK and something I will never forget!

| I don't think he's doing anymore albums/tours.... I believe it was Iman who said he just wants to stay at home and raise their daughter. | |

| It is also worth remembering that Bowie hasn't released a record in 8 years and counting, which is longer than any previous hiatus in his career. Even if you do not count Tin Machine, the closest thing you get is the 6 hiatus between Never Let Me Down (1987) and Black Tie White Noise (1993), (and he did make two Tin Machine albums in that period). No, Bowie is in all likelihood a spent genius, with a soon-to-be teenage daughter to take care of, and the best we can hope for is more rare releases, bootlegs, and lost treasures coming out - which would be awesome, by the way! I would be happy for db to prove me wrong though | |
