Hi!
I think it would be very fun to hear if you have some special David-related moment you would like to share with us Smile Maybe you have met him and would like to tell us about it or just the first time you heard a Bowie song or something!

A few weeks ago, I looked at my watch.
It said 9:25.
I knew I had to.
I knew I MUST.
I thought, "Oh god! I'm still alive"

It was a very proud moment for me.

I used to play Labyrinth with my little brother and just loved dancing to his songs on that video Smile

hmm, well I remember when I first saw him all dressed up as Ziggy stardust on TV and dad goes "Anna, that's the guy from the labyrinth". I had always nursed a secret crush for him in the labyrinth and my mind was instantly blown when I saw Ziggy so I stole my dads ipod chucked on the first song of his that came on and just sat mesmerized playing Ziggy Stardust on repeat for nearly the entire day!

Haha, I've done something similar to that. A month or two ago I looked at the clock on the wall and it read 5:15. I startled my whole family by randomly yelling out "WEEEEEEEEEEEEE NEVER TALK ANYMORE"

My family has come to expect this sort of thing from me.

Some years ago in school we had a project called "The history of rock" every monday we read about different singers/bands. One sunday I just switched on the TV and saw a program where famous swedish singers played their favourite music videos. That night someone played Life on mars and I immediately loved that strange blue man... Next day, monday, we read about glamrock ofcourse Wink And once again, I saw the LOM-video Smile Then I really thought it must have been ment to be that I would start listening to Bowie :p

I had to do a GCSE essay on a famous person I liked, so, I picked Bowie. Very Happy
I did a whole essay on him, I hope the person marking it likes Bowie. Smile

Yesterday, I was walking through a Bingo hall, then guess what song start playing. Rebel Rebel! And me being me, I started to sing it out loud.

Hahaha :p

In school we would take a test about diseases, and before we started, out teacher showed the LOM-video on the projector... And then he asked us "which disease do you think of when you see David Bowie?" And everyone said "FRIDA!!" :p Then the teacher said "No... Frida is not a disease... she's a symptom..." Toung:P

I remember that i saw the first time Labyrinth when i was 6... i was really scared from all the hands wich make Sarah falls down!
but i was in love with Jareth also if i was a child!
then my family likes really much him... i can say that's a hereditary thing! so we listened Ziggy and Hours in the cars ... ahah quite often... my madness for him was started, and i make my poor parent's listen to him everydays!
i have a strange memory about one events... i remember my mum telling me ... look at the tv, that's David in this program! and i'm sure that he had long blond hairs... so also the period is possible... and i told to myself... damn, he is still wonderful! but seem that i am the only person in my family who remember this... ahah i'm going crazy thinking to this thing, but i couldn't find anything like that on the italian tv!

Then I also remember when I saw the reality tour dvd for the first time. I almost didn't know anything about him and had only heard some few songs when mum bought me the dvd. I immedialtely wanted to see life on mars cause it was one of the few songs I knew, but because the intro was one track, track 15 was under pressure instead even though LOM was the 15th song. So I saw under pressure and though (and I still think) that was the most wonderful I've ever heard! then the next song was LOM and that version is the best I've ever heard, so only after 2 songs I loved that man! Smile

The first time I actually heard of David Bowie was through a YouTube video by littlekuriboh it was a naruto parody and they made fun of kakashi and David Bowie. At the time I didn't know who David Bowie was, so I googled him. It was the start of something beautiful :3
